Rene Vreuls received his masters degree in analytical chemistry in 1988 at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and subsequently started his Ph.D. study. In 1993 he finished his Ph.D. Dissertaion, “Liquid Chromatographic Sample Treatment Coupled On-line with Gas Chromatography”, under supervision of Prof. Dr. U.A.Th. Brinkman. He is specialised in hyphenated techniques, (GC-AED, GC-FTIR, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS), and multi-column systems (SPE-LC, SPE-GC, LC-GC). He is an associate professor in the same department. He is (co-) author of about 100 publications. Current interest is in Advanced Sample preparation and Comprehensive Multidimensional Techniques.
